Privacy Policy

TryRefrain is a brand of GTM Advisory Solutions LLC (“we” or “us”). This policy explains how we handle information when you visit this site, contact us, or ask us to create a personalized song or optional photo video. Our Terms of Use explain the inquiry and ordering process.

Information you provide

When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, occasion, story, preferred music mood, and your confirmation that you are at least 18 and have permission to share the material. You may also provide a phone number, a description of your music style, artist or era references, timing, additional instructions, and interest in a photo video add-on. We retain correspondence you send while discussing your request.

Your story may include information about other people. Share only details you have permission to provide and avoid unnecessary sensitive information, such as financial account details, government identification numbers, or private medical information.

This website’s inquiry form does not accept photo uploads or payment card details. If you choose an optional photo video or proceed with an order, we arrange the photo transfer and payment separately. Please do not send payment card details in your story or by email.

Technical information

Vercel hosts this site and may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request details, and security logs to deliver and protect it. For an enabled form submission, our application uses a keyed hash of the IP address to limit abuse. It stores that hash with the inquiry rather than storing the raw IP address in the inquiry record. This does not prevent our hosting provider from processing the original address.

Cookies and optional PostHog analytics

We use a necessary cookie, tryrefrain_cookie_consent, to remember your cookie choice for up to 180 days. You can accept or reject optional analytics without affecting your ability to use the site or submit an inquiry. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice at any time.

If you accept analytics, we use PostHog to understand page visits, which occasion cards people select, and whether visitors start or successfully submit an inquiry. PostHog uses a randomly assigned browser identifier and technical information such as browser, device, and screen size. Its analytics cookie, ph_tryrefrain, lasts up to 90 days from the latest visit; related browser storage may support a browsing session or remember the analytics choice.

We do not enable session replay, automatic form capture, or advertising pixels. Our analytics events do not include your name, email, phone, story, music description, or other form answers. We remove query strings, URL fragments, and referrer details from events and do not create identified customer profiles in PostHog.

Optional analytics stays off until you accept. Rejecting or withdrawing consent stops new analytics collection and clears this site’s analytics cookies and browser storage; it does not delete events already received by PostHog. Supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals keep optional analytics off. Your necessary preference cookie remains so we can remember your choice.

PostHog receives analytics requests and may process connection information such as your IP address as part of receiving them. See PostHog’s Privacy Policy for information about the provider. Opening a listening link, payment page, or another external service may involve that service’s own cookies and data collection.

How we use information

We use your details to respond to your inquiry, understand the story and music you want, confirm scope and timing, arrange payment and fulfillment, manage revisions, and provide support. We also use necessary records to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal and business obligations.

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically begin song generation or sign you up for marketing emails. We do not sell your inquiry information. We seek separate permission before using your story, photos, or completed work in advertising or a public portfolio.

Service providers and AI-assisted production

When the online form is enabled, inquiries are stored in Supabase and handled by authorized operators. Vercel processes website and form traffic. Our email provider processes messages when you contact us or we respond.

If you proceed with a song or photo video, relevant story details, creative instructions, and any agreed materials may be processed by third-party music, AI, video, file-delivery, or payment services needed to fulfill the order. Their handling of information depends on the provider and service settings. You can ask us which providers will be used before supplying additional materials or proceeding with production.

We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably needed to address fraud, security incidents, disputes, or threats to someone’s rights or safety. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Listening links and QR codes

A song can reveal the names, experiences, or memories included in it. A QR code is a way to open the listening link, not a privacy control. People who receive your code, link, or downloaded file may be able to access and share the song. Confirm the sharing arrangements with us before distributing a code or including private details in a song.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry and project information for as long as needed to respond, fulfill agreed work, provide support, and meet recordkeeping or legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the status of your request. We do not promise a fixed automatic deletion period for this inquiry service.

We restrict access to inquiry records and use server-side controls to protect form submissions. No website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Download and keep your delivered files; online delivery is not a permanent backup service.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit an inquiry, omit optional fields, or contact us by email instead. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided, email jordan@thegtmadvisor.com. You can also withdraw an unpaid inquiry or tell us that you no longer want follow-up about it.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may retain information needed for legal obligations, completed transactions, security, or resolving disputes, and will explain relevant limits when responding. Your legal privacy rights may depend on where you live.

Children’s information

This inquiry and ordering service is intended for adults 18 or older. Children should not submit information themselves. An adult including a child’s story or photo must have appropriate permission. If you believe a child has submitted information directly, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes and contact
